Why we are here

Why We Do This Work

Most people don't plan to sell a dead car. It happens to them. A transmission fails on the way to work. A hailstorm turns a good car into a write-off overnight. A parent moves into care and leaves a vehicle in the garage.

In each case, the owner faces the same headache. Private buyers want running cars. Dealers want trade-ins on newer models. Scrap yards want you to deliver the car yourself. That leaves a lot of people stuck with a vehicle nobody seems to want.

We fill that gap. If you own it, we'll make an offer on it, and we'll bring the truck to you.

What We Believe About Buying Cars

Every business says it's honest. Here's what that means for us, in plain terms.

A quote should mean something

The price we give you on the phone is the price you get. It only changes if the vehicle is different from what you described. That could mean a missing catalytic converter or damage you forgot to mention. We'll explain the reason before anything changes, and you're free to say no.

Towing is part of the deal

We never charge for the tow, and we never shrink the offer to cover it. That holds true across the city and out to the towns we serve. It's built into how we price, not added on top.

You should be paid before the car leaves

Payment happens at the vehicle, before it's loaded. You won't be asked to wait for a cheque in the mail. The payment method is agreed when you book, so there are no surprises.

The paperwork should be done right

A sloppy sale can come back to haunt you. Tickets, fines and liability can follow a car you thought was gone. So we fill out a proper bill of sale with the registered owner every time. You keep a copy, and you keep your plate.

No fixed rate per car

How We Price a Vehicle

We don't guess. Every quote starts with the details you give us. Then we look at four things:

Can it be fixed and resold?

Some vehicles are worth more on the road than in pieces.

Which parts are still useful?

Engines, transmissions, body panels and electronics all have buyers.

What does it weigh?

Steel and aluminum value depends on weight and on current metal prices.

Is the converter there?

It's often one of the most valuable parts on an older car.

Metal prices change, so a quote is good for a set time. We'll tell you how long when you call.

A responsible next step

What Happens to Your Car After It Leaves

People often ask where their old car ends up. The answer depends on its condition.

Either way, fluids like oil, coolant and fuel are drained properly. Batteries and tires go to recycling streams that are set up for them. That keeps them out of storm drains, ditches and landfills.

ConditionWhere it usually goes
Runs well, fixable problemsRepaired and resold, or sold on to a repair shop
Doesn't run, good partsUseful parts are removed and reused
Badly damaged or very oldFluids and battery removed, then the metal is recycled
Hail or flood write-offAssessed for parts and metal, based on the damage
Clear records protect everyone

Rules We Follow in Alberta

Buying vehicles that may be scrapped comes with legal duties. Alberta's scrap metal rules require buyers to record the seller's name, address and government photo ID. Payment for scrap must be made by a traceable method. Since September 1, 2025, catalytic converter sales also need a VIN or proof of ownership.

These rules protect you. They make it much harder for thieves to sell stolen cars and parts. When we ask for your ID, that's the reason.

A calm, careful visit

What to Expect on Pickup Day

Pickup day should feel calm, not rushed. Here's how a visit from us normally goes:

We confirm before we arrive.

You'll know roughly when the truck is coming.

The driver checks the vehicle.

It's a quick look to confirm it matches your description.

You sign, then you're paid.

The registered owner signs the bill of sale and shows ID.

We load it carefully.

Your driveway, lane or parkade is left the way we found it.

You keep the plate.

We'll remind you to take it off if you forget.

Most visits are short once the paperwork is ready. If something doesn't look right to you, ask. A good Calgary car buyer should be happy to explain every step.

Real-life situations

Who We Help

Our customers aren't one type of person. Each situation needs something a little different. A short phone call tells us what that is.

Commuters whose car finally gave up after years on Deerfoot and Stoney Trail.
Families with a second vehicle that hasn't moved since the kids got their own.
Newcomers whose out-of-province car failed its Alberta inspection.
Executors and adult children clearing a vehicle from a loved one's estate.
Acreage and farm owners with old trucks parked behind the shop.
Small businesses retiring vans, pickups and fleet units.
Landlords and condo boards dealing with a car left behind by a former tenant, once the legal steps are done.

Our Service Area

Calgary is home, and we cover every quadrant. We also drive to 28 communities in southern and central Alberta. That includes Airdrie, Cochrane, High River, Canmore, Red Deer and Lethbridge.

What We Won't Do

Being clear about our limits builds trust too.

Buy a vehicle from someone who isn't the owner. No exceptions, even for a friend or relative.

Pressure you on the spot. If our offer doesn't work for you, that's fine.

Promise a price we can't keep. We'd rather lose a sale than cut your price in the driveway.

Tell you to sell when you shouldn't. If your car is worth more on the private market, we'll say so.
